Hacienda Grimon, Tempranillo 2022

Located in the foothills of the Monte Grimon mountain ranges in the heart of Rioja Alta, Hacienda Grimon have been producing exceptional Spanish wines since 1999. It's ran by brothers Paco & Eliseo, who pride themselves on only using traditional Spanish farming techniques which are centuries old, and who also only grow indigenous Spanish grape varieties in their fully organic vineyards. Their Tempranillo 2022 is fairly unique for Riojan reds in that it has not seen any time spent in an oak barrel. That means the wine you will see in your glass is a totally pure expression of the Tempranillo grape. Aromas of red cherry and succulent blackberry combine with a touch of citrus and black pepper on the palate. A really nice, informal and totally organic red which can be enjoyed slightly chilled.
